About Us

Creating a safe space for healing, growth, and new beginnings

At Aderyn Glas Counselling Services, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to be heard, understood, and supported. Life brings challenges—whether personal, relational, or within families—and counselling provides the opportunity to explore those challenges in a safe, confidential, and compassionate environment.

The Meaning Behind Our Name

Aderyn Glas means “Bluebird” in Welsh. Rare and beautiful, the bluebird is a symbol of growth, renewal, and fresh beginnings. Just as spotting a bluebird invites you to pause and reflect, our counselling practice encourages you to slow down, focus on yourself, and nurture hope for the future.

This symbolism reflects the heart of what we do—helping individuals, couples, and families find clarity, heal, and create positive change.

We recognise that no two people are the same. That’s why our sessions are tailored to your unique needs and experiences. Our approach is:

Respectful and non-judgmental

Every client is welcomed with compassion and sensitivity.

Flexible and collaborative

Therapy is adapted to what feels right for you, whether short-term or long-term support.

Safe and confidential

Providing a trusted space where you can talk openly and honestly.

Our goal is to help you feel empowered to make meaningful changes, strengthen relationships, and move towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Meet Judith Morton

Hello, I’m Judith Morton, an associate of Aderyn Glas Counselling Services.

My work in therapeutic support began over 15 years ago in schools for children with special educational needs, later continuing with young people and families in a children’s hospice in South Wales. These experiences inspired me to train formally as a counsellor, gaining qualifications that allow me to support individuals and families through many different challenges.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Systemic Counselling, following earlier studies in Integrative Counselling. Along the way, I have completed extensive training in safeguarding, equality and inclusion, trauma, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ+ awareness.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working within its ethical framework to ensure safe and professional practice. I am also fully insured and hold an up-to-date DBS certificate.

My background includes working with:

  • Children and young people with additional needs

  • Families navigating life-limiting conditions

  • Adults experiencing stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflict, trauma, or abuse

Above all, I believe in creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and compassion. Counselling is a journey—and I am here to walk alongside you.
